Kansas (18-4 SU/11-10 ATS) routed Oklahoma on Wednesday in an 84-62 home win as -17 point favorites. Thomas Robinson scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Kansas rebounded off a loss at Iowa State in its previous outing. KANSAS at MISSOURI (-2.5, 147)
Travis Releford contributed 12 points and six rebounds in the victory. The Jayhawks haven’t lost to Oklahoma in the last nine meetings, and the last 10 at Allen Fieldhouse, where they have won 19 straight overall. They have also gone 225 games without consecutive losses, the longest streak in the nation. Kansas shot 55.4 percent from the floor, while Oklahoma shot 41.4 percent. Kansas dominated inside, scoring 46 points in the paint, while the Sooners managed only 20 points in the paint.
Missouri (20-2 SU/10-6-1 ATS) is coming off a 67-66 win at Texas on Monday as -1 point road favorites. Michael Dixon scored 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor, while Phil Pressey and Ricardo Ratliffe added 13 points apiece for the Tigers, who won their second straight. The Tigers led 27-22 at halftime and the advantage reached 10 at 63-53 late in the second half, but a Texas run brought the game down to the wire. Missouri shot 48.2 percent from the floor, but made just 5-of-14 from long range and got outrebounded 38-26. With the win, the Tigers improved to 4-2 in true road games. Missouri continues its impressive season under first-year head coach Frank Haith, who was a Texas assistant under Longhorns coach Rick Barnes from 2002-04. Haith inherited all five starters from last year’s 23-11 squad and the Tigers rank 7th in the nation in scoring 81.2 ppg. Mizzou is playing with double revenge after dropping both games with the Jayhawks last season, 103-86 on the road and 70-66 at home in the regular season finale. Kansas is on a 3-7 ATS run lately and 2-6-1 ATS on the road against winning teams, while Missouri has excelled at home, going 35-16-1 ATS.
Missouri is a senior-laden team with all five starters back from last years team. They’re 10-2 ATS against winning teams and 13-0 at home this season, winning by an average margin of 24 ppg.
Factoid: There are a handful of teams in college basketball that are shaded heavily, especially in games that are TV featured like tonight’s ESPN matchup at Columbia, and the Jayhawks are one of those five teams. Kansas should be getting six-points in this contest.
Take the value here and play the Tigers on the money line.
