Soccer betting: Europa Group stage concludes Friday

While 20 teams are already assured of progress from the UEFA Europa League group stage, the remaining four round of 32 places are up for grabs on Thursday.

According to UEFA.com, “looks at the permuations from the final matches, which will decide the lineup for the rounds of 32 and 16 draw on Friday. That will also include the eight teams transferring from the UEFA Champions League: holders FC Porto, Manchester City FC, Trabzonspor AŞ, Manchester United FC, AFC Ajax, Valencia CF, Olympiacos FC and FC Viktoria Plzeň.”

Standard de Liège*, Hannover 96, PSV Eindhoven*, Legia Warszawa, Sporting Clube de Portugal*, Stoke City FC, Athletic Club*, FC Metalist Kharkiv*, SC Braga, Club Atlético de Madrid, FC Schalke 04*, FC Twente*, RSC Anderlecht*, FC Lokomotiv Moskva, S.S. Lazio, Beşiktaş JK*, FC Steaua Bucureşti, FC Salzburg, Wisła Kraków

THURSDAY DECEMBER 15

Group A
PAOK FC v FC Rubin Kazan
Shamrock Rovers FC v Tottenham Hotspur FC
• PAOK have clinched qualification and Rovers are out.

• Rubin, in second, are three points above Tottenham. To qualify Spurs must win in Dublin, hope Rubin lose, and make up a goal difference deficit which currently stands at five. If the two teams finish exactly level on goal difference and goals scored, Tottenham will qualify due to their higher coefficient.

• A Rubin win would leave them first above PAOK.

Group B
Hannover 96 v FC Vorskla Poltava
FC København v R. Standard de Liège
• The group is decided with Standard finishing top and Hannover second.

Group C
Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC v Legia Warszawa
PSV Eindhoven v FC Rapid Bucureşti
• The group is decided with PSV finishing top and Legia second.

Group G
AZ Alkmaar v FC Metalist Kharkiv
FK Austria Wien v Malmö FF
• Metalist have clinched the group and Malmö are out.

• AZ, in second, are two points ahead of Austria and would be through with a win.

• Austria must win and hope AZ lose, or if Alkmaar draw the Vienna side need to overhaul a goal difference deficit of six. If they finish level on goal difference and goals scored, AZ have the higher coefficient.

Group H
Club Brugge KV v SC Braga
Birmingham City FC v NK Maribor
• Brugge and Braga are both three points ahead of Birmingham. Braga are through as they have a superior head-to-head over Birmingham.

•  Birmingham can overtake Brugge with a victory against eliminated Maribor should the Belgian side lose as the English side have the superior head-to-head record.

• Club Brugge won at Braga on matchday two so a draw in the return would take them through as group winners.

Group I
Udinese Calcio v Celtic FC
Club Atlético de Madrid v Stade Rennais FC
• Atlético have qualified and a draw with eliminated Rennes would clinch first place.

• Udinese are three points ahead of Celtic, who would go through on head-to-head record with victory in Italy.

•  If Udinese draw they will finish second and will finish top with a win if Atlético lose.
