Wednesday’s betting tips, best bets, injury notes and international futbol news presented special to Who2beton.com by Tony Finn and Tradeline Sports.
1) ESPN Wednesday Night College Football:
Temple is off a very disappointing 13-10 loss at Bowling Green as -13 point road favorites. The Owls were led by Matt Brown who rushed for a game-high 119 yards on 22 carries, followed by Bernard Pierce, who contributed another 107 yards and a score on 17 carries. Chester Stewart connected on just 7-of-13 passes for 66 yards and was sacked four times in the loss for Temple, which was coming off back-to-back shutout wins over Ball State (42-0) and Buffalo (34-0). Ohio comes off a 37-20 win at Akron as -14 point road favorites.
Temple is playing with revenge this week after the Owls were beaten 31-23 last year at home as -10 point favorites. Temple outgained Ohio 402-282, but three turnovers did them in.
Key Trend:
Temple comes in on a 12-4 ATS run in road games and the Owls usually respond well after scoring 20 points or less in their previous game, going 19-6-1 ATS.
2) Wednesday night Injury of note:
Leafs’ goaltender James Reimer is out with a head injury. He was 4-0 before being injured with a 2.58 goals against average. He hasn’t played since Oct 22 in an OT win at Montreal. Since Reimer has been sidelined the Leafs have allowed three goals per game, over four contests, with three of the four contests going OVER the closing total.
3) International Soccer:
2010 winners Inter will be without Maicon, who suffered a thigh strain in the 2-1 defeat to Juventus on Saturday night and is likely to be out for a month, adding further injury woes to Claudio Ranieri’s side. Captain Javier Zanetti is expected to move into the void left by Maicon, with Dejan Stankovic slipping into the right hand side of midfield.
Andrea Ranocchia and Walter Samuel remain in contention to start, after both recovered from their respective injuries to partake in full training ahead of the Group B clash. Meanwhile, Julio Cesar and Diego Forlan remain sidelined.
Lille suffered two blows in Sunday’s match against Valenciennes as Marko Basa went off with a shoulder injury after six minutes and is liable to miss out, while influential midfielder Florent Balmont is definitely absent after limping off early in the second half.
Joe Cole could be handed a start ahead of Dimitri Payet, with Moussa Sow leading the line once more.
Eden Hazard announced on Tuesday that he will leave Stadium Lille Metropole at the end of the season, possibly alerting the Nerazzurri who will be watching the Belgian starlet with intent at San Siro.
Champions League Wednesday Best Bet:

4) National Hockey League Best Bet
[51] Toronto at [52] New Jersey
Brodeur came off injured reserve and practiced with the team Monday. He reported no pain in the right shoulder he bruised against Los Angeles on Oct. 13.
“I feel pretty good,” Brodeur said. “I think it was a good practice. I did a lot of good things. I’m happy about the way it went.”
After a 1-3 road trip, the Devils (4-4-1) play four of their next five on home ice. They host Toronto on Wednesday in what should be an up and down skate. There is a chance that Ben Scrivens will be in net…Gusto has been great lately, but even a relief goalie needs relief.
Total OVER 5 goals
