According to Skyports.com “Celtic boss Neil Lennon has conceded his troops cannot afford to lose Wednesday’s Europa League clash with Atletico Madrid.”
The in-form Hoops go into their penultimate Group I clash in third place behind the Spaniards and Italian outfit Udinese with five points from four games.
Celtic come into the game on the back of a five-game winning streak and the Parkhead tactician believes defeat would likely end their hopes of progression.
“It is a game we can’t afford to lose,” said Lennon. “A draw might not be enough but if we win it, it puts us in a great position. We have picked up five wins in a row now and we are in good form. “The players are in the habit of winning games and that will give the whole squad a shot in the arm.”
The real question is whether Celtic can stay within a goal of a more quality Madrid outfit, something I don’t believe they can do. Madrid wins 2 to nil.
Take Atl Madrid -1 (+130)
